Using the Overview tab
The Overview tab of the app provides several mechanisms to control and check the import activities. The Configuration Status section at the bottom indicates if configuration steps are incomplete. (All green checkmarks indicate that the configuration is complete.)
Here are the actions you can perform on the Overview tab:
Changing the Import Interval
Select a new interval from the Import Interval drop-down field to change how often the import takes place. Changing this field will automatically update the import interval.
Manually invoking an import
You can invoke an import ‘run’ by clicking the “Run Import Now” button. If an import is already running, this will cancel that import and restart it.
Manually re-import groups
You can re-import groups by clicking the “Import Groups” button. This will invoke the import but only for Entra ID groups.
Use this button to refresh the group information in the Assets schema if changes have been made to groups in Entra ID that need to be reflected sooner than the scheduled import.
Importing a single user
In some situations, you may want to refresh the Assets object data for an individual Entra ID user. To do this, enter the user’s User Principal Name (UPN) into the “Import User Principal Name” field and then click the “Run Import Now” button to start the single user import.
Checking Import Status
You can check if the import is running by clicking the “Check Import Status” button. The ‘status’ field under the buttons will then display that status:
Disabling Scheduled Imports
You can disable (and re-enable) scheduled imports at any time by toggling the “Enable scheduled imports” switch
Changing Log Verbosity
If you need to identify a potential issue with the scheduled import, you can increase the verbosity of the log messages by toggling the Log Verbosity switch.
We recommend keeping Log Verbosity turned off when you don’t need it.
To download the app log files in Atlassian Jira Cloud, navigate to your organization's admin settings, go to "Connected Apps,” select the app you want to access logs for, and then click "Download logs," which will provide you with a downloadable log file.
